The preparation is divided into two courses

Basis of the preparation course
In the initial phase of the preparatory course, the fundamental topics are thoroughly explored in order to achieve the highest level of performance. The curriculum covers core competencies in German and mathematics. In German, the focus is on essay structure and grammatical knowledge, particularly in word and sentence syntax. Mathematics covers a range of basic skills: arithmetic, algebra, dealing with quantities and functions, probability tasks, statistics, and geometry. Students begin solving sample exam questions early on to ensure that they have mastered these skills.

Advanced preparation and exam simulation
The second part of the course delves deeper into the different types of exam questions and familiarizes participants with various problem-solving strategies and the challenges associated with each type of question. The material is constantly reviewed and practiced, with learning progress being closely monitored and evaluated. A mock exam is conducted under timed and realistic conditions to prepare students for the actual exam environment. This simulation is corrected, graded, and provided with written feedback. Finally, the results of the IMS exam simulation are discussed personally with an instructor who provides customized guidance and support.

The structure of our preparation courses
Day 1 focuses on introducing the Stellwerk test. Students learn about the structure and the various topics covered in the test. We introduce students to the German language and focus on the areas of listening, reading, and speaking. They learn to filter out essential information from spoken texts in order to practice active listening and comprehension skills. In the next section, reading, we focus on different types of texts. We analyze the texts, identify the main points, and answer comprehension questions. In the last section, we focus on language, with an emphasis on grammatical structures, spelling, and sentence structure.
On the second day, we will focus on mathematics. The topics of numbers and variables, shapes and space, as well as quantities, functions, data, and probability will be covered on this day. In the area of numbers and variables, students will learn basic knowledge about decimal numbers, fractions, and simple equations. Geometric basics will then be discussed in the area of shapes and space. Finally, we will look at sizes, functions, data, and probability, where students will learn how to interpret diagrams and work with units and probabilities. Practical exercises will help promote understanding and enable targeted learning.
On the third day, we focus on French, again working on the three sub-areas of listening, reading, and speaking. Here, too, the development of basic listening comprehension is the main focus. In the reading section, we will practice understanding short texts and identifying key points. Vocabulary will be expanded through context exercises. In the final section, students will learn basic grammar and the correct spelling of simple sentences. All of these areas will be practiced through practical exercises designed to promote language skills.
On the fourth day, we apply the methods used on days 1 and 3 to English. Finally, we look at listening, reading, and speaking. We practice understanding short interviews and dialogues to expand vocabulary and listening comprehension. The students also learn how to identify the main idea in English texts and answer comprehension questions. Finally, we look at grammar and spelling. Using tasks from the Stellwerk test, we identify typical sources of error and look at task requirements.
